A Dharmavaram is judged by its pallu. This one carries a broad brocaded gold field against magenta, worked on a jacquard the weaver sets up himself — forty-five days, most of them spent on the last two feet of cloth.
- Colour — Magenta, Gold
- Technique — Brocaded pallu on mulberry silk, woven at Dharmavaram over 45 days on the loom.
- Fabric — Mulberry silk with gold zari
- Speciality — The pallu is brocaded in a continuous extra weft, so the reverse carries the full weight of the zari.
- The Suka promise — Handloom, never powerloom. A named cluster, a counted number of hands, and a making record you can read.
- Note — Comes with an unstitched blouse piece. Where a model is photographed, the blouse shown is styled separately.
Because it is handwoven, small irregularities in the weave and slight variation in colour are inherent to the cloth. They are the evidence of a hand, not a fault in it.
